Tax Director

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Tax Director is a key member of the firm's finance team, responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and planning for the law firm and associated investment entities. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, local, and international tax laws and provides strategic tax advice to internal stakeholders and partners.

• Compliance and Reporting: Serve as Liaison with outside tax firm to manage the annual U.S. tax compliance process, including the review of complex federal and state partnership tax returns (e.g., Schedules K-1, K-2, and K-3) and various forms.
• Tax Planning and Strategy: Monitor and communicate relevant changes in tax legislation to management and partners. Research tax laws, regulations, and rulings to identify opportunities for tax savings and advise on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
• Partner and Internal Advising: Assist with partner questions and their financial advisors
• Process Improvement: Implement process improvements and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax operations.

• Experience: Typically 8–15 years of professional tax experience, preferably with an emphasis on partnerships
• Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
