We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on Controller to lead the accounting function. This role requires a leader who is equally comfortable operating at a high level with executive leadership and rolling up their sleeves to ensure accurate, timely financial execution.

This is a key leadership position responsible for driving financial integrity, operational discipline, and scalable processes to support long-term company growth.

Leadership & Oversight

• Lead and develop the accounting team, including direct oversight of AP and AR functions
• Partner closely with the CFO and divisional leadership as a trusted financial advisor
• Build a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Financial Operations & Close

• Own and manage all month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including reconciliations and general ledger integrity
• Ensure timely and accurate KPI reporting and financial visibility
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Lead variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights
• Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Create accurate cash forecasts and oversee treasury management
• Support strategic growth initiatives with data-driven financial reporting

Controls & Process Improvement

• Establish, maintain, and strengthen internal financial controls
• Develop and refine accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with established accounting standards and best practices
• Support potential M&A activity (experience preferred but not required)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior Controller experience within a comparable sized company or division (~$200MM revenue)
• CPA preferred
• Strong technical expertise in GAAP and financial accounting
• Demonstrated leadership of AP and AR functions
• Experience with large ERP systems such as Great Plains, MS Dynamics, or equivalent
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, IF statements; financial modeling a plus)
• Experience with cash forecasting and treasury management
• Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a hands-on environment
