We are supporting a private equity backed Industrial Automation and Manufacturing business in the US to hire a Vice President of Finance.

This is a senior finance leadership position within a technically complex, high growth environment. The business delivers engineered automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing systems into industrial markets and is entering its next phase of scale.

Working closely with the CEO and investors, the VP Finance will lead the finance organisation and act as a strategic partner to the executive team. The company operates within project driven, capital equipment and engineered to order environments, where financial visibility, margin control, and cash management are critical. You will help strengthen the financial foundation of the business while supporting expansion initiatives and operational improvement.

• You will oversee all core finance activities including planning, forecasting, reporting, controls, and cash management.
• You will enhance project margin tracking, cost accounting discipline, and KPI reporting across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
• The role will also support acquisition evaluation, financial diligence, and post deal integration as the platform grows.
• In addition, you will build and develop a scalable finance structure aligned to investor expectations and long term strategic objectives.

We are looking for a finance leader who understands the realities of industrial operations and engineered systems businesses. Experience with in Industrial Automation, Robotics, Systems Integration, Capital Equipment, or Advanced Manufacturing is strongly preferred.

You will have operated as a VP Finance, Finance Director, Controller, or Divisional CFO within a PE or VC backed environment and understand the cadence, transparency, and accountability required by investors. Strong knowledge of project accounting, revenue recognition, manufacturing cost structures, and operational finance is essential.
