Project Manager - Finance Transformation; Hybrid

Position: Project Manager - Finance Transformation (Hybrid)
Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a large scale Finance Transformation portfolio consisting of ~50 active initiatives. This role requires strong executive presence, core project management skills, and practical fluency in finance and accounting workflows.

Responsibilities:

* Own and execute project delivery across multiple finance transformation initiatives

* Develop and manage detailed project plans, risks, dependencies, milestones, and reporting

* Operate comfortably at multiple altitudes: detailed execution one day, executive level communication the next

* Partner closely with finance transformation consultants and internal finance leaders to drive outcomes, not redesign processes

* Navigate complex stakeholder environments with multiple contributors and competing priorities

* Facilitate clear decision making, escalation, and accountability across business and technology teams

* Support initiatives spanning source to pay, budgeting and forecasting, FP&A, finance data and governance, and core finance modernization
* 8-10+ years of project or program management experience

* Demonstrated executive presence and credibility with senior leaders

* Prior experience working in a finance or accounting role (ideally manager level) before transitioning into PM

* Practical understanding of finance workflows such as month end close, accruals, and journal entries

* Strong core PM fundamentals (planning, execution, governance, reporting)

* Proven ability to work cross functionally with business stakeholders

* High resilience, flexibility, and willingness to roll up sleeves

Preferred:

* Experience supporting finance transformation programs

* Agile or hybrid delivery experience

* Exposure to Workday Financials (nice to have, not required)

* Experience working in large, matrixed enterprise environments
