Job Summary
:
BMO U.S. is a financial institution focused on creating lasting, positive change for customers and communities. The Analyst will support the Loan Syndications team by preparing client presentations, managing databases, and assisting in the underwriting and syndication of credit facilities for corporate clients.
Responsibilities
:
• Preparation of client presentations and marketing materials including: loan market overviews, bank financing credentials, industry/transaction comparables, syndicate analyses, etc.
• Management of syndicated loan databases
• Review and coordination of all league table data for Corporate Banking
• Support the underwriting, syndication and closing of new credit facilities (for M&A and general corporate purposes) including: assistance with preparation of information memorandums and lenders presentations, coordinating the logistics for lenders’ meetings, managing data sites, and liaising with syndicate lenders, borrowers and legal counsel
• Assist in the origination, structuring, and pitch to Agent bank facilities
• Providing syndicated loan market intelligence data to Investment and Corporate Banking partners
• Develops written internal and external marketing on pitch material.
• Supports deal teams in development, presentation, and winning mandates.
• Seeks to develop an understanding of client needs and outcomes.
• Provides materials to support an outstanding client experience.
• Identifies opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients.
• Provides analytical findings to deal teams.
• Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Completes quality reports/analyses.
• Researches and analyzes company and industry financial and operating information.
• Applies technical concepts and understands implication of work to client/transaction.
• Develops an understanding of and proficiency in using all required systems and models.
• Provides feedback on, and supports continuous improvement opportunities.
• Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis, and/or streamlined reporting.

Qualifications

Required
:
• An undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting and an outstanding academic achievement.
• Financial analysis training and experience.
• 0-2 years of successive relevant experience within investment and/or corporate banking experience based on business requirements.
• Highly skilled in interpreting complex financial models.
• Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools.
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
