About the Company:
Our client, a leader in the engineering and utility services industry, provides civil, environmental, structural, electrical, subsurface utility, and construction support services nationwide.

The Assistant Controller will oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, job cost, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets. This role is critical in maintaining accurate reporting, internal controls, and financial oversight for multiple projects.

• Lead month-end close, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant financial statements.

• Manage the job cost accounting team for accurate project setup, cost tracking, and revenue recognition.

• Partner with operations to analyze job performance and drive profitability improvements.

• Implement dashboards, ERP optimizations, and automation to streamline processes.

• Mentor and develop accounting staff while fostering accountability and collaboration.

• Oversee audits, SOX compliance, and risk control documentation.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
