Financial Accountant

Reporting to the senior management accountant in this newly created role, you will be a key member of the finance team supporting the finance requirements of the organisation. You will work closely with the team to provide robust financial information on time and accurately. You will ensure the integrity of the general ledger and ensure all internal financial controls are adhered to.

• Month end financial reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Intercompany recharges
• Accounts Payable - assistance with Payment runs, EFTsure verification for all suppliers
• Calculating accruals/prepayments (expenses and income) and processing journal entries
• Cashflow reporting
• ATO reporting - BAS & Instalment Activity Statements
• Assistance with preparation of documentation for Annual Audit
• Ad hoc reconciliations and finance tasks as required

The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, strong analysis and reconciliation skills. You are someone who builds lasting relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders and it goes without saying that you have a high level of analytical skills, a high-level of Microsoft Excel and that you have superior written and verbal communications skills.
