D365 Finance Transformation SME (Assessment & Controls Focus)

Catena Solutions is partnering with a leading food distribution organization to conduct a comprehensive assessment of its Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) environment. We are seeking a finance-savvy transformation advisor to lead an ERP assessment and deliver a clear, prioritized roadmap for optimization. This is not a system administrator role - we are looking for a strategic, CFO-facing advisor who understands finance operations, governance, and controls of D365 environment in depth.
Scope of Assessment
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- User governance & segregation of duties
- Access controls and approval workflows
- Process maturity & documentation standards
- Identification of manual workarounds, control gaps, and inefficiencies
- Configuration review and risk evaluation
- Development of a prioritized remediation roadmap
Ideal Profile
- Deep, hands‑on experience with D365 F&O
- Strong functional finance background across O2C, P2P, and R2R
- Expertise in governance, internal controls, and segregation of duties
- Proven experience conducting ERP and finance process assessments
- Ability to assess configuration, evaluate risks, and recommend structured remediation
- Distribution industry experience strongly preferred
