Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Role Overview

The accounting revenue analyst partners directly with Accounting, Revenue Cycle and Clinical Documentation/Coding with oversight from the Regional Director of Finance. This role will review internal processes and develop procedures to ensure revenue is accurate and appropriate. This role will perform ad‑hoc analysis, recommending corrective action where needed, as well as take on small projects.

Essential Job Functions
  • Key finance partner for Regional Directors of Operational Finance and Director of Accounting and Medical Director, Documentation and Utilization
  • Develop and interpret complex financial reports, performance tracking and analytical modeling for revenue
  • Update key reporting and metrics, perform data mining/research, and ad‑hoc reports as necessary related to revenue and billing
  • Analyze financial data and investigate variances to determine root cause
  • Partnering with Accounting to analyze and describe monthly revenue
  • Develop and execute action plans and SOPs to positively impact profitability and financial performance
  • Document findings, prepare reports and make recommendations based on findings
  • Lead monthly financial reviews with leaders and communicate drivers and metrics that impact profitability and financial performance for revenue categories
  • Develop collaborative relationships with operational and support center leaders
  • General support of the Finance management team as needed for large and small projects.
  • Envision, design, build and maintain new reports on clinical operations with the goal of impacting revenue generation.
Minimum Job Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting, data analysis, operational finance, medical office operations, billing, coding, or other desired reporting.
  • Accounting experience with a basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Demonstrated ability to think from both financial and business perspectives.
  • SQL capabilities and understanding of data tables
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with aptitude to expand expertise.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Ability to excel in fast paced environment, take direction, handle multiple priorities, and pivot quickly.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance
