Excellent opportunity for a Tax Senior seeking to transition into wealth planning (training provided).

This non-sales position offers exposure to sophisticated planning, investments, and trusts within a well-established Chicago Single Family Office.

An established Single Family Office in Chicago is seeking a planner to join its growing Wealth Advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a sophisticated, collaborative, and dynamic environment serving multiple generations of one of Chicago’s founding families.

The Advisor will work closely with senior team members to deliver comprehensive wealth advisory, trust, and financial planning services to family members, related entities, and trusts. The firm offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in office / 2 remote) and exposure to complex investment, tax, and estate planning strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate tax planning and compliance with external tax professionals.
  • Prepare and track charitable and personal gifts of stock and cash.
  • Support wealth planning—model cash flow, estate and tax planning scenarios.
  • Summarize and analyze trust and entity agreements.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external advisors (banks, investment managers, attorneys, accountants).
  • Handle transactions, account openings, and related client documentation.
  • Research and resolve client issues involving taxes, banking, insurance, and household matters.
Ideal Candidate
  • Background in wealth management, financial planning, or trust services.
  • 3+ years experience from a wealth management, CPA, or Law Firm (Tax Seniors encouraged to apply – training provided).
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team orientation and client-first mindset.
  • This is not a new business development role.
