Work with and support a team that provides a markets‑based suite of risk management solutions through derivative products to the bank’s U.S. Commercial clients. The product suite focuses on solutions addressing both Interest Rate (IR) and Foreign Exchange (FX) needs. The team identifies client needs, offers bespoke solutions, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to build a harmonized strategy on risk management while presenting solutions to external clients.

Responsibilities balance maximizing profit with prudently minimizing the bank’s exposure and complying with regulatory statutes.

Responsibilities

• Executing trades on a full suite of IR and FX products in a fast‑paced environment.

• Acting as point person for senior leaders and marketers, creating pitch and educational materials, charts, and graphs.

• Responding to client and internal banker inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Developing market knowledge to independently create marketing material leveraged by the team.

• Providing support to internal and external stakeholders for an outstanding client experience.

• Using good judgement, speaking up with ideas, and asking insightful questions.

• Ensuring trade confirmations are accurate and delivered promptly, recording all transactions accurately and reviewing for correctness.

• Coordinating with bankers and clients during onboarding to meet regulatory requirements before executing trades.

• Communicating transaction details to clients and resolving settlement and notification requests.

• Working independently on complex tasks, managing multiple requests, and self‑learning.

• Monitoring and managing a shared desk line, assisting client requests as needed.

• Analyzing financial statements and reports to better serve client needs.

• Providing thorough, well‑thought‑out solutions specific to client concerns.

• Supporting the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

• Using analytical skills to apply appropriate technical concepts to client deliverables.

• Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to maximize client profitability and retention.

• Learning and understanding internal systems used for client trading and risk management monitoring.

• Assisting colleagues with presenting information to stakeholders.

• Understanding transaction complexity and related risk (credit, market, operational, legal/compliance).

• Considering risk, internal controls, and compliance as part of day‑to‑day accountabilities while adhering to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 – 3 years of relevant experience and/or post‑secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance; CFA designation is advantageous.

• Strong interest and passion for Capital Markets.

• Understanding of structuring both IR and FX solutions is an asset.

• Working knowledge of financial markets (interest rates, foreign exchange) with exposure through work or education.

• Basic understanding of trading or sales procedures and broader regulatory/financial concepts.

• Demonstrated solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills.

Technical proficiency gained through education or business experience.

• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
