Cost Analyst – Regulatory Focus

Primary Focus: REGULATORY REQUESTS & COST RECOVERY

Must Have:
Regulatory Experience + Cost Recovery + SAP

Citizenship: US/GC on a W2 ONLY!!! (no other options)

This role is heavily regulatory-focused. The primary responsibility is supporting and responding to external regulatory and compliance requests related to cost recovery, revenue requirements, and forecasts. The team is specifically seeking candidates with strong regulatory experience (not just internal audits).

• Hands-on regulatory experience (regulatory requests, rate cases, filings, or commission support)
• Experience in regulated industries (utilities, energy, water, gas, telecom, transportation, etc.)
• Strong understanding of cost recovery and revenue requirements
• Experience responding to regulatory or agency data requests
• SAP experience (running or interpreting queries, cost folders, forecasts)

• Respond to regulatory and compliance data requests related to cost and schedule
• Research, analyze, and investigate regulatory inquiries
• Draft formal regulatory responses and route internally for review/approval
• Analyze cost forecasts, invoices, and financial data
• Support cost recovery and revenue requirement activities
• Run and interpret SAP queries and cost data
• Coordinate with compliance, regulatory, and internal stakeholders

• 2–5+ years in regulatory or regulatory-adjacent roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
• Strong organization and time management

• Utility, energy, water, gas, telecom, or other regulated industry
• Experience supporting rate cases, regulatory filings, or commissions
• Comfortable owning complex regulatory requests end-to-end
