Compliance Risk Advisor

* Assist in the implementation and maintenance of centralized compliance programs, including regulatory developments, risk mitigation, issues management, business continuity, and records management.
* Monitor and analyze regulatory developments, identifying relevant state laws and regulations applicable to CIBC Bank USA.
* Collaborate with the compliance team to assess the impact of regulatory changes and support the development of mitigation strategies.
* Serve as the team’s lead for business continuity and records management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
* Support the identification, tracking, and resolution of compliance issues, ensuring timely escalation and remediation.
* Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) framework.
* Prepare reports and presentations for management on compliance risks, regulatory changes, and program effectiveness.
* Foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness across business units.
* Reporting into the CCO, you will have the opportunity to work on Special Projects.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related discipline within the financial services industry.
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Experience with business continuity and records management programs preferred.
