The Insurance Services Executive Director is responsible for managing, expanding and winning new client relationships within the Insurance Services ecosystem which includes insurance agencies, brokerages, managing general agents and underwriters (MGA/MGUs), third party administrators, insurance enrollment and aggregator platforms, warranty companies as well as risk remediation services and applied materials firms targeting reduced insurance claims.

This role focuses on delivering comprehensive banking solutions to clients in the Insurance Services sector, including credit, treasury services, capital markets, and strategic advisory services. The Executive Director acts as the industry expert and trusted advisor, leveraging deep industry knowledge and JPMorgan Chase’s platform to support clients’ growth and operational needs. This position reports directly to the Local Market Leader with a dotted line reporting to the Head of Insurance Services.

The primary focus will be on supporting the Midwest Segment’s Insurance Services growth objectives, while also collaborating with Insurance Services nationally to ensure alignment with firmwide industry strategies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage and grow a portfolio of Insurance Services target companies across the Midwest and more broadly as connectivity permits
  • Originate new business through proactive outreach, industry networking, and participation in insurance sector events.
  • Structure and deliver credit solutions, such as acquisition financing, dividend recapitalization and related strategic needs.
  • Advise clients on treasury management, payments, and liquidity solutions tailored to the Insurance Services industry.
  • Collaborate with product partners (Investment Banking, Private Banking, Capital Markets, Credit Risk, Treasury Services, Global Banking, etc.) to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions.
  • Analyze financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and prepare and present credit proposals.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, manage risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
  • Stay current on insurance industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments.
  • Represent JPMorgan Chase at industry conferences, client meetings, and community events to enhance the bank’s profile in the Insurance Services sector.
  • Provide thought leadership and insights to clients and internal teams on Insurance Services industry best practices.
  • Support generalist bankers in their marketing and client management efforts within Insurance Services across the Midwest Segment through partnership and collaboration to leverage local delivery of banking coverage with industry expertise.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Seven plus years of experience in commercial banking, with a focus on Insurance Services, financial institutions, or specialty finance.
  • Deep understanding of the Insurance Services industry, including business models, regulatory environment, and market trends.
  • Strong credit analysis, financial modeling, and deal structuring skills.
  • Proven track record of business development and relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence outcomes.
  • FINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire
Preferred qualification, capabilities and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training
  • Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Experience with Financial Sponsors, Direct Lending and Capital Markets Solutions.
