- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 8 years with an advanced degree.
- Ability to take initiative and direct work in an unstructured environment, and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Ability to stay organized, detail oriented, focused and multi-task in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to craft and deliver messages to influence executive leadership.
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.
This leadership role is part of the Data Center Acquisitions, Energy and Sustainability function and provides financial and investigative insights and business planning support to the Energy and Location strategy team (ELS) this role, you will be leading a multi-billion scale to dissect complex problems, deliver insights and help leaders throughout the business make critical strategic and resource allocation decisions and strike the right balance with risk management and controls.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
CompensationThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$245,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education or training. - Own, manage, and analyze Google's Acquisition portfolio, and work with business to optimize data center and energy agreements.
- Support the business in agreement support and collaborate with accounting and treasury to optimize costs.
- Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and Month End Close for energy costs/generation, and provide essential financial information for robust reporting through collaboration with Finance/Accounting.
- Build scalable tools and processes (including those for agreement performance) to enhance investigative efficiency and support data initiatives for portfolio performance scaling.
- Collaborate internally to support reporting on renewable energy purchases, consumption, and progress toward goals; assist the team in managing renewable energy and utility agreements.
