As the team expands, we seek an Associate Director to evaluate and quantify economic damages in IP matters. The candidate will support high‑profile clients worldwide.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and quantify economic damages and remedies in matters such as patent, trademark, copyright infringement, trade‑secret misappropriation, and breach of contract litigation.
- Draft expert reports for reviewing expert testimony.
- Make strategic recommendations, identify issues, and coordinate with the testifying expert on case direction.
- Review and provide feedback on junior team members’ analyses.
- Lead meetings with counsel, clients, and other experts.
- Prepare the testifying expert for deposition and trial.
- Deliver trainings and develop colleagues.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business/Management).
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Economic Analysis Consulting, preferably in IP valuation.
- Over 1 year of experience determining IP‑related damages and remedies.
- Experience providing litigation support and writing expert reports.
Team management and staffing experience. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic skills.
- Excellent communication and detail orientation; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, and similar tools.
- Professional credentials: CPA, CFE, CFA, CLP.
- Standard patents and FRAND knowledge.
- Financial modeling experience.
- Expert testimony experience at state or federal level.
- Experience in disputes, commercial litigation, fraud.
Annual salary ranging from USD $155,000 to $205,000, plus benefits including health, dental, vision, paid time off, and a retirement plan with company match.
