Position Overview
LaSalle Investment Management is seeking a Research Strategist to join our U.S. Research & Strategy team. This person will be a vital partner to our investment teams, a respected voice in our strategic debates, and a key contributor to our performance. Their analysis will directly influence investment decisions and shape the future of our U.S. portfolio.
Key Responsibilities & Strategic Impact- Drive Investment Strategy: synthesize and interpret macroeconomic, capital market, and property‑level data to formulate clear, forward‑looking investment strategies and recommendations.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert: act as the leading internal authority on specific U.S. real‑estate markets and property sectors, sharing views with the Investment Committee, acquisitions officers, and portfolio managers.
- Develop Advanced Analytics: enhance the team’s predictive capabilities by constructing and applying quantitative models to proprietary and third‑party datasets.
- Author High‑Impact Thought Leadership: produce white papers, market analyses, and client‑facing presentations that reinforce LaSalle’s position as a market leader and provide valuable insights to our stakeholders.
- Lead and Mentor: oversee the work of junior analysts on key projects and contribute to their professional development.
- Strategic Communication: demonstrate the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise narratives that are compelling to senior business and investment leaders.
- Commercial Acumen: maintain an investor’s mindset and consistently connect research findings to their direct implications for investment performance, risk, and return.
- Quantitative Aptitude: advanced knowledge of Excel, statistical analysis, and data visualization techniques; experience with modern data‑science tools (e.g., R, Python, Stata) and forecast modeling is a plus.
- Collaborative Influence: work effectively across the organization and engage in constructive, fact‑based debate with colleagues in acquisitions, asset management, and portfolio management.
- Proven Experience:
minimum of 7 years in real‑estate research or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.

Salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 per year, dependent on experience, location, and market data. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus under the LaSalle Bonus program.
