Position Overview:

The Licensed Loan Partner serves as the primary contact for new inbound leads, reviews loan applications, and prepares clients for the next stage in their home financing journey. The Licensed Loan Partner communicates with clarity and professionalism, embodying Cross Country Mortgage's commitment to making every mortgage feel like a win.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact of the branch for all new inbound leads.
  • Conduct and/or review loan applications for accuracy.
  • Request, organize, and analyze income, credit, assets, and documentation supporting loan applications.
  • Run AUS and assist with loan product selection.
  • Prepare rate quotes, loan options, and loan summaries.
  • Issue pre‑approval letters accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate proactively with borrowers, agents, and internal branch team members.
  • Manage the full pre‑approval pipeline from first introduction to contract.
  • Attend local closings as needed to support client and agent relationships.
  • Create and deliver Mortgage Coach video tutorials explaining loan options to the branch.
  • Initiate refinance review calls: identify borrower goals, review cost‑benefit analysis, present options clearly, confirm rate‑lock terms, and submit for processing.
  • Attend networking events as requested by the Branch Manager.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule for occasional evening or weekend calls.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of mortgage experience (LO, Processing, and/or Underwriting).
  • Advanced knowledge of agency, FHA, and VA guidelines.
  • Advanced sales knowledge, preferred.
  • Expertise in creating rapport quickly with new clients.
  • Proven accuracy in qualifications, scenario structuring, and loan strategy.
  • Proven success in a high‑volume, dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and client‑facing communication skills.
  • Advanced skill in delivering both positive updates and difficult news.
  • Advanced skill in follow‑up and sense of urgency.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities without dropping details.
  • Skilled in professionalism and follow‑through that reinforces team credibility.

Pay Range:
  • Hourly Rate: $
  • Eligible to receive bonus incentive based on team production.
