A well-established, Chicago-based investment and wealth management firm is seeking a Client Services Associate to support senior advisors serving sophisticated, ultra-high-net-worth families.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys client interaction, complex planning coordination, and working in a highly collaborative, high-touch advisory environment.
Position Overview
The Client Services Associate will work closely with Client Advisors to deliver comprehensive wealth management services. Responsibilities span client meeting preparation, ongoing service execution, investment documentation, reporting, and coordination with external advisors. This is a client-facing role with meaningful exposure to investment strategy, asset allocation, and long-term wealth planning.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare materials for recurring client meetings (typically 2–4 per year)
- Attend client meetings (local and occasional travel) and draft follow-up summaries and action items
- Track and execute client-approved action items, including coordination of investment documentation
- Review quarterly client reporting and participate in client review calls
- Assist with customized asset allocation and wealth transfer strategies
- Coordinate with external tax, legal, and other professional advisors
- Support preparation of new business and client presentation materials
- Contribute to internal initiatives and firm projects as needed
- Strong commitment to exceptional client service
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Working knowledge of investment concepts and multiple asset classes, including alternatives
- Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning, family office, tax, or investment environments supporting high-net-worth clients
- CPA, CFP, or MBA required
