Aboutthe Position
Performance Trust Capital Partners is seeking an Analyst for our Trade Operations (Trade Ops), Settlements group. The Trade Settlements team ensures accurate and efficient processing, support, and resolution for trade and settlement processes in a fast paced and dynamic environment. We are pursuing candidates with strong customer service and analytical skills to be an integral member of our collaborative team. This individual will work closely with business lines and clients to manage trade settlements, post settlement breaks as well as special handling requests from the trade desk.
The role operates on Central Time, with core working hours of 7:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. CT.
Candidates must be based in Chicago, IL, or reside in one of the following states: AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, HI, IN, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, PR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI. Candidates must be able to work the core hours regardless of location.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple customer and business line inquiries, within a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Liaise with both internal and external counter parties, to ensure timely settlement and efficient resolution of identified settlement breaks
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced and time-sensitive environment
- Monitor and action daily processes including but not limited to daily settlement fails, coordinating with clients to resolve cash breaks, manage post settlement factor/coupon trade adjustments, and support client inquiries related to trade activities of the firm
- Engage in general email support and reporting requirements aligned with the day-to-day, monthly and ad hoc business processes
- Proactive and solutions-oriented in day-to-day operations while working closely with the line of business to resolve issues
- Communicate effectively with team members to provide excellent service to our clients
- Hold self accountable and be passionate about delivering high quality work and servicing clients
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships
- Cross train with other areas within Clearing and Settlements
- Perform other related duties as required
- Excellence in written and oral communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with financial markets and instruments
- 1-3 years’ industry experience, ideally in middle office or back-office operations
- Bachelor’s degree:
Finance or Business preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel); some experience with Bloomberg preferred, not required
- License(s) Requirement: FINRA SIE and Series 7 licensed within 120 days of hire date
- Prior experience with Pershing NetX
360 is a plus - Oriented toward optimization and efficiency in process
