Position Overview

The Northern Trust Company seeks a Team Lead, Fin Reporting to review key deliverables for financial reporting. Oversight of the preparation and review of financial statements and provision of financial reporting expertise. Onboards new funds and templates, identifies and resolves issues in the reporting system, manages funds, audits, client cycle deadlines, and staff workload to ensure deliverables are met. Trains team members on complex financial reporting tasks.

Assigns work within Financial Report and Client Accounting and conducts performance management.

Qualifications & Experience

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and 3 years of experience with reviewing financial reports including schedules of investments and cover-to-cover financial statements. Experience must include a minimum of:

  • 3 years of experience providing financial reporting expertise for new investments, derivative products, financial statement preparation, and auditor inquiries;
  • 3 years of experience managing funds, audits, client cycle deadlines, and staff workload;
  • 3 years of experience performing qualify checks of financial reports;
  • 3 years of experience identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce risk and increase team efficiencies;
  • 3 years of experience performing audit and client management;
  • 3 years of experience automating financial statement content.

Part‑time telecommuting may be permitted.
