. The Chicago office seeks an associate to join its Business Tax Group.
The firm advises on tax issues in sophisticated financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, restructurings, leasing, financings, real estate, joint ventures, fund formation, and inbound and outbound international investments. The associate will assist clients with the tax aspects of business transactions and help identify and leverage tax credits and incentives.
Responsibilities- Work with transactional tax lawyers to advise clients on the tax aspects of business transactions.
- Assist with mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, tax credits, fund formations, and international investments.
- Identify and leverage tax credits and incentives to maximize client benefits.
- At least 2 years of experience as a tax associate in a law firm.
- Excellent academic credentials, including an LL.M. in taxation.
- Ability to work in a high‑paced environment with multiple ongoing transactions.

Competitive base salary of $235,000 with merit bonus opportunities and billable hour credit for pro bono work.
