The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, a strong UHNW advisory background, and a passion for building relationships, mentoring professionals, and contributing to the firm’s long‑term vision.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of the firm’s tax vision and overall business strategy.

  • Represent the firm in high‑level client, community, and business engagements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to UHNW clients, providing guidance on complex tax and wealth‑planning matters.
  • Oversee high‑stakes engagements involving multi‑entity structures, international taxation, estate planning, business transactions, and succession planning.
  • Maintain and expand strong client relationships through proactive communication and high‑touch service.
  • Ensure the firm’s tax planning, compliance, and advisory practices consistently meet the highest professional standards.
  • Stay informed on evolving tax laws and provide direction on firm‑wide technical policies.
  • Review and sign off on complex tax strategies, structures, and compliance deliverables.
  • Mentor and develop tax professionals, fostering an environment of continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to Managers and Senior staff.
  • Contribute to recruitment efforts to build a strong, diverse, high‑performing team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
  • CPA required.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of progressive tax experience, with significant UHNW and Private Client expertise.
  • Demonstrated leadership within a public accounting or advisory firm, including experience managing teams and complex engagements.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to advise sophisticated clients.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to influence firm growth and direction.
Skills
  • Expert‑level knowledge of federal, state, and international tax law.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement advanced tax strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team‑building capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple high‑level priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Why DBTA?
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial firm culture that values innovation and growth.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly expanding practice.
  • High‑caliber UHNW client base that creates rewarding and complex work.
  • Strong benefits package, including:
    • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
    • Immediate 401(k) participation with 100% vested match after 1 year.
    • Company‑paid life and long‑term disability insurance.
