The Project Coordinator supports the planning and execution of live events by translating approved technical designs into clear production plans. This role coordinates with internal teams and vendors, prepares production documentation, and leads on-site production to ensure events are delivered on time, on budget, and to company standards.

This is an ideal role for a technician looking to make the move into the planning process while still being involved onsite.

Essential Duties | What You’ll Do:

  • Convert technical designs into production documents and equipment plans.
  • Coordinate vendors, rentals, and internal departments.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Support or lead event installs, operation, and strike.
  • Field understanding of electrical capacities and proper, safe utilization of A/C power distribution equipment and generators.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Works well under pressure with a proven ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced setting, and meet deadlines and goals.
  • Experience with operating audio, video, or lighting consoles and switchers a plus.

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of live event or technical production experience
  • Strong technical knowledge in at least one discipline (Audio, Lighting or Video) with general knowledge of other disciplines.
  • Experience or knowledge of Flex Rental Solutions, Vectorworks, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong experience in installing event production equipment onsite.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements | What it is like On Site and in Office

  • Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and reach during entire work shift.
  • Able to walk 50% of the work shift.
  • Ability to work with hands and arms during entire shift.
  • Must be able to move and climb ladders without accommodation.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 30-40 lbs. throughout the shift. Occasionally may move up to and over 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to handle fragile items safely.
  • Required to move between two buildings throughout the work shift.
  • Must have 20/20 vision with correction.
  • Must be able to tolerate cold, heat and humid conditions.
  • May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to tolerate moderate noise.

Pay & Benefits | What You’ll Receive

  • Hourly wage: $20.00-$30.00 based on experience.
  • Overtime pay will be provided for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek at 1.5x the regular rate of pay, in compliance with Illinois labor laws.
