Project Manager - Operations
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage operations within commercial construction projects. This role involves planning, developing, and maintaining project schedules, as well as coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
+ Plan, develop, and maintain project schedules and milestones using designated tools.
+ Regularly update timelines and provide timely progress reports, proposals, required documentation, and presentations.
+ Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules.
+ Review, implement, and administer project contracts.
+ Prepare, submit, and track project submittals.
+ Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractors, including subcontracts and purchase orders.
+ Attend and participate in project progress meetings.
+ Prepare and manage pay applications, estimates, and change orders.
+ Coordinate project execution and progress in collaboration with the Project Superintendent.
+ Manage job costs, production reporting, forecasting, and approval of accounts payable invoices.
+ Coordinate activities with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
+ Monitor and track project deliverables to ensure timely completion.
+ Communicate project status and progress updates to team members.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of six years of construction management experience, including Superintendent and Project Management roles.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, guidelines, laws, and regulatory requirements.
+ Strong understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
+ Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings, and relevant contract documents.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft 365, HCSS, Sage, and Bluebeam.
+ Excellent organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and multitasking.
+ Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of employees, customers, and stakeholders.
+ Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree (or currently enrolled in a degree program) required.
+ Working knowledge of applicable construction subtrades.
+ Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships.
+ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Valid driver's license may be required.
Work Environment
The role is based in Rosemont, with office hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, or as needed to meet business needs. Work involves a combination of office and job-site visits, primarily around the greater Chicagoland Area. Candidates must be open to commuting to various project locations. The office is located in a corporate park, providing a professional and collaborative setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $55.23/hr.
