Manufacturing Engineer, Sales Engineer
We’re looking for a technically grounded sales professional to help grow business across turnkey manufacturing and contract production projects.
This is a front-end, solution-based sales role — working directly with customers to understand manufacturing challenges, scope projects, develop estimates, and deliver engineered solutions through a global supplier network.
If you enjoy blending engineering thinking with business development, this role offers strong ownership and visibility.
What You’ll Do- Develop new business within manufacturing and industrial markets
- Meet with customers to understand production needs and pain points
- Scope turnkey manufacturing projects from concept to quote
- Build RFQs, develop cost estimates, and review supplier pricing
- Present proposals and close project opportunities
- Coordinate with domestic and international manufacturing partners
- Support projects through delivery as needed
This role requires someone comfortable with:
- Reading engineering drawings
- Cost estimating and quoting
- CNC machining and fabrication processes
- Evaluating manufacturability and supplier capabilities
You’re selling engineered solutions — not catalog parts.
Japanese Language & Cultural AlignmentBecause of regular interaction with Japanese customers and overseas partners:
- Japanese language proficiency is strongly preferred
- Experience working with Japanese companies is a major plus
- Comfort operating across cultures and time zones is important
- Experience in technical sales, estimating, applications, or manufacturing engineering
- Background in machining, fabrication, contract manufacturing, or automation
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and sales cycles
No degree required — relevant experience is what matters.
Work Structure- Hybrid schedule (office + customer visits)
- Regional travel required
- Collaboration with international partners
If you’re someone who understands manufacturing, enjoys working with customers, and wants to sell complete solutions rather than individual components, we’d welcome a conversation.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
