Salary: $205,000 - $255,000 per year

Our client is a privately held heavy industrial construction firm specializing in complex mechanical and infrastructure projects across multiple industries including aviation, transportation, industrial manufacturing, and energy. This company has built a reputation as one of the Midwest’s leading contractors for technically demanding projects involving mechanical systems, process piping, and large‑scale infrastructure installations.

Within the aviation sector, this company delivers critical airside and landside infrastructure projects including jet fuel farms, aircraft hydrant fuel systems, underground piping networks, utility infrastructure, and other essential airport systems supporting airline and airport operations. These projects are performed in highly regulated environments at major airports across the United States, often requiring complex coordination with airport authorities, airlines, and regulatory bodies.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead aviation infrastructure construction for a highly specialized contractor operating at major airports nationwide.

• Industry‑Leading Aviation Work – Deliver complex airside infrastructure projects including fuel farms, underground transmission lines, hydrant fueling systems, and critical airport utilities.

• 15+ years of experience in construction with a strong background in aviation infrastructure, heavy civil, or industrial construction.
• 7+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing large‑scale construction projects or programs.
• Proven experience delivering airport infrastructure projects, including exterior and underground systems such as fuel farms, hydrant fueling systems, underground piping, and airfield utilities.
• Experience managing projects in active airport environments with strict safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Strong leadership experience overseeing project managers, superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors across multiple projects.
• Ability to lead project operations, budgeting, scheduling, and construction execution from preconstruction through completion.
• Experience building relationships with airport authorities, airlines, engineering partners, and government stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
