These projects include aircraft fueling systems, underground fuel transmission lines, hydrant fueling networks, utility relocations, underground piping, and other critical airfield infrastructure that supports airport operations.

Job Details

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full lifecycle management of exterior and underground aviation infrastructure projects, from planning and budgeting through construction and project closeout
  • Manage projects involving underground piping systems, aircraft fueling infrastructure, hydrant systems, fuel transmission lines, and airfield utility installations
  • Oversee project budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and financial performance
  • Develop and manage project schedules while ensuring construction milestones are achieved
  • Coordinate closely with airport authorities, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to maintain compliance and minimize disruption to airport operations
  • Lead and mentor project teams including project engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel
  • Monitor project safety, quality control, and environmental compliance standards
  • Identify risks and proactively resolve project challenges related to scheduling, logistics, and airport operations
  • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience in aviation, heavy civil, underground utilities, mechanical infrastructure, or industrial construction
  • Demonstrated experience managing exterior infrastructure or underground construction projects
  • Experience with airfield utilities, fuel systems, underground piping, utility relocation, or heavy infrastructure projects strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience working in active airport environments or other highly regulated construction settings preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in construction management and scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
