Civil Construction Engineering Internship

Work alongside Benesch's Construction Engineering professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions for infrastructure projects. As a Civil Construction Intern, you will support the inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer construction projects.

This role offers hands-on field experience, exposure to construction observation, project documentation, and the opportunity to learn directly from experienced engineers and project managers.
Location

This internship is field-based, with opportunities to collaborate on active projects and receive mentorship from Project Engineers and Project Managers.
What You Will Need

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (EIT preferred)
• Experience working on field projects a plus
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, Micro Station, Geo Pak, and/or AutoCAD is desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently within budgets and schedules
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
• Valid driver's license and good driving record #LI-MM1

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the State of Illinois Pay Transparency Act, Illinois Pay Transparency Law. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
