Systems Solutions Manager

Our client is a global industrial manufacturer that is expanding its power and energy solutions team and looking to add a fulltime Systems Solutions Manager with experience in datacenter and renewable energy environments.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to customers and technology, helping engineers and project teams shape how electrical systems are designed rather than sitting behind a desk or running demand‑generation campaigns.

Position Location: Greater Chicago area, near O’Hare International Airport

• Serving as a systems‑level technical advisor for datacenter, energy storage, and renewable power applications
• Connecting customer challenges to practical, integrated electrical solutions
• Supporting design engineers, EPCs, OEMs, and integrators during early project and specification phases
• Strong systems‑level understanding of electrical protection, power conversion, energy storage, and power management within renewable energy or datacenter environments
• Partnering with sales and product teams to clearly communicate technical value and solution fit
• Gathering customer insight from the field and translating it into product and market direction
• Representing the organization at customer sites, industry events, and technical forums

• A background in electrical or power systems engineering
• Experience working with large electrical equipment, power electronics, or infrastructure‑scale systems
• 7 to 15 years in roles such as applications engineering, systems engineering, technical solutions, or customer‑facing product roles
• Comfortable discussing system architecture, protection schemes, and design tradeoffs
• Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to technical audiences
• Willingness to travel approximately 20%
