Business Development Manager – Power Applications
Remote, Up to 75% Travel Required
The OpportunityWe are seeking a technical powerhouse—an Electrical Engineer with a deep background in Power Data Acquisition (DAQ)—to bridge the gap between complex engineering challenges and innovative hardware/software solutions. As a Business Development Manager, you won’t be selling; you’ll be consulting with peers in energy, utilities, and R&D to solve the industry’s most pressing testing and measurement hurdles.
Core Responsibilities- Strategic Growth: Identify and penetrate new business opportunities within power-focused sectors, including electric utilities, power electronics, EV testing, and renewable energy.
- Technical Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert, providing high-level technical consultations and product demonstrations that align our DAQ offerings with customer requirements.
- Client Advocacy: Cultivate long‑term relationships with researchers and decision‑makers by understanding the technical "pain points" of their power systems.
- Market Intelligence: Analyze competitor offerings and emerging power trends (like grid simulation or energy storage) to inform our future sales and product strategy.
- Industry Presence: Represent the brand as a technical leader at key trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who thrives at the intersection of engineering and business.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related technical field).
- Experience: 3+ years in technical sales or product management specifically within the data acquisition or test & measurement industry.
- Domain Knowledge: Hands‑on experience with power monitoring, high‑voltage applications, energy storage testing, or grid simulation.
- Standards & Protocols: Deep familiarity with industry‑standard protocols such as IEC, IEEE, Modbus, CAN, or LabVIEW.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex electrical concepts into clear, value‑driven presentations for both engineers and executives.
- Network: An established network within the energy, utility, or electrical R&D sectors is highly preferred.
