Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $124,960 – $165,572. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job‑related skills and experience, and relevant education or training.

This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development:
    Lead project team through Production Preparedness Process (3P) events to analyze, design and implement manufacturing systems that meet SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) metrics and long‑term value stream strategy.
  • Project Management:
    Lead a cross‑functional team of professional engineers and other supporting roles responsible for planning and executing projects that achieve the objectives of Production Operations.
  • Process Innovation:
    Research and select suppliers and other vendor partners with a focus on driving identification and adoption of new technology to advance manufacturing processes in alignment with customer expectations and company goals.
  • Project Reporting:
    Present project statuses to leadership using data‑driven analysis to inform process, equipment, and production decisions. Monitor project and process targets, recommending strategic changes when needed to meet deadlines.
  • Budget Management:
    Own project capital budgets of $10M+, including estimating costs and ROI, controlling expenditures and reporting performance to target.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Collaborate with the cross‑functional team to drive continuous improvement efforts that enhance the quality of processes within the Manufacturing Engineering function and ensure results directly support improved customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance:
    Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.

Education Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or Engineering degree with equivalent experience.
Preferred
  • Master's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Manufacturing Systems Design and Analysis

  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)
  • Design for Manufacture, Assembly and Automation (DFMA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • CAD Proficiency.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in designing and implementing processes within a high‑volume, high‑mix or semi‑automated manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in manufacturing engineering strategies and tools with extensive knowledge in value stream mapping, lean six sigma, DFMA, and manufacturing systems design.
  • Proven record of leading projects with challenging scope, schedule and cost targets from concept through validation and sustainment.
