Role Purpose &Key Responsibilities
This position plays a key role in ensuring complex clinical oncology systems are installed, maintained, and supported to the highest technical standards across customer sites. Acting as an autonomous field engineer, you will be responsible for bringing new systems live, resolving technical issues, and maintaining long-term system performance for hospitals in your region.
The role combines hands-on installation work, on-site and remote technical troubleshooting, and planned preventive maintenance. Engineers operate with a high degree of independence while remaining closely connected to a small, collaborative national service team.
Please note the role can be based in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, Missouri and significant travel is required.
Requirements- Experience in a field-based technical role such as field service engineering, systems support, technical installation, or similar
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills across IT/networked systems, hardware and software
- Practical,
hands-on experience installing, configuring, and supporting technical equipment in customer environments - Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, including in high-pressure situations
- Strong personal drive, team player and problem – solver
- Comfort working independently on customer sites and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Physically able to perform installation activities (working at height, handling equipment, calibration tasks)
- Willingness to travel frequently within the US, including multi-day on-site assignments (travel up to 75%)
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility to travel as required
- Work on safety-critical clinical technology that directly supports patient treatment and safety
