Your OpportunityThe Commissioning Consultant performs basic technical and project management duties under the supervision of a Senior Commissioning Authority or Project Manager, understands and identifies project requirements, performs independent technical work on basic commissioning tasks, and provides guidance to Commissioning Coordinators on duty completion. Aside from the preferred locations listed, this position is open to any location with a Stantec office presence for the right candidate.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Develop basic commissioning deliverables under minimal supervision and offer solutions to general technical problems.
- Work with Senior Cx Authority to prepare project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work outlined in proposals.
- Follow the quality management process and review project deliverables prior to submission to QA/AC reviewer.
- Actively participate in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth (e.g., attend meetings, seminars, conferences).
- Assist the project manager by giving input or creating plans to complete tasks within the project timeline and budget, identifying required precursors from other parties in a timely fashion.
- Meet or exceed utilization goals and adhere to project budget.
- Identify and report potential roadblocks and competing client and co‑worker priorities that may inhibit the ability to maintain the project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Possess basic knowledge of commissioning practices.
- Knowledge of commonly used and accepted commissioning and construction concepts, practices, procedures.
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, specifications, procedures, and government regulations.
- Proficient in applicable software.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to confidently interact and coordinate scope and tasks with vendors and co‑workers.
- Display effective organization and time management skills, manage multiple priorities, and remain punctual and dependable.
- Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of related industry experience.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)/Engineer in Training (EIT) or other professional certification based on area of expertise preferred.

PayRange
- Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas – $85,000.00 – $ annually
Pay Transparency:
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
