The Mission

We are revolutionizing the construction industry through AI-powered robotics. By merging heavy-duty industrial machinery with high-precision automation, we are transforming how homes are built, delivering unprecedented speed and affordability. We are seeking a Senior Hardware & Robotics Engineer to design the next generation of construction automation equipment.

The Role

You will be a key technical contributor designing mechanical systems, robotic mechanisms, and end effectors. You’ll take designs from concept through production deployment in real-world manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Design: Create detailed CAD assemblies (Solid Works/Fusion 360) and perform structural analysis/FEA validation.
  • Robotics Integration: Integrate industrial robots and specify sensor systems (vision, force/torque, and positioning).
  • Prototyping & Validation: Build and test prototypes in a shop environment; conduct performance and failure mode analysis.
  • Manufacturing Support: Support fabrication processes including CNC machining, welding, and sheet metal.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and lead cross‑functional design reviews with software and electrical teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in production or automation systems.
  • CAD Mastery: Expert proficiency in parametric design tools (Solid Works, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
  • Manufacturing IQ: Deep understanding of CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly for industrial environments.
  • Prototyping: Hands‑on skills with the ability to move quickly from a digital model to a physical, working machine.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Why Join Us?
  • Direct Impact: Your designs directly address the global housing crisis.
  • Hands‑on Engineering: Full access to a dedicated shop and prototyping equipment.
  • Growth: Competitive salary, equity participation, and a high‑autonomy culture.
