IT Infrastructure Engineer

This role offers a unique opportunity to engineer solutions across various IT infrastructure disciplines, working closely with internal leadership to integrate technologies and platforms that align with our overall technology vision, roadmap, and strategy. Protecting the organization will be your top priority. This position is scheduled to be a 9-month contract due to cover an employee's military leave but may extend to 12 months.

• Oversee and maintain the existing Data Centers and work on the design and implementation of the new Data Center.
• Administer, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure.
• Implement robust security measures and best practices to safeguard and protect assets and data.
• Ensure project solutions comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to develop repeatable, scripted processes.
• Engage with internal clients to build and maintain a DEVOPS platform solutions.
• Develop monitoring solutions to ensure system efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, developing effective solutions.
• Aid in designing and validating innovative solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices.
• Document processes and solutions clearly for end-users and support teams.
• Establish technical standards for hardware, software, and services proposals.
• Participate in mentoring team members and clients to boost their technical proficiency and understanding of our systems.

• 5+ years of Systems Engineer or relevant experience.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or relevant experience.
• Proficiency in the following technologies: VMware, VMWARE VDI, Microsoft server’s desktops and end points, Azure, Power Shell/Bash Scripting, Network, Firewall and Security, Azure infrastructure components.
• Proven experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously, driving solutions effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in working on automation deployments and shell scripting.
• Experience migrating databases into the cloud is a plus.
