A global electrical manufacturing organization supporting a safer, more reliable, and resilient power grid is seeking a Senior Environmental Auditor – ISO 14001 to lead environmental auditing and Environmental Management System (EMS) initiatives across U.S. facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and lead ISO 14001 audits across multiple U.S. manufacturing facilities
- Conduct audits in accordance with ISO 19011
, identifying non-conformities and improvement opportunities - Present audit findings to site and corporate leadership and track corrective actions through completion
- Maintain EMS documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, legal registers, and aspect/impact assessments
- Monitor regulatory changes and update EMS documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Support facilities with environmental compliance activities and regulatory inspections
- Analyze audit trends and performance metrics to identify systemic risks and opportunities for improvement
- Provide EMS and ISO 14001 training and awareness to site teams
- Collaborate closely with environmental, operations, and corporate sustainability teams
- Maintain accurate audit records, corrective action logs, and EMS change history
- Support external audits and certification renewals
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and support mitigation planning
- Perform supplier and contractor environmental audits
- Assist with aligning ISO 14001 with other management systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 45001
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Project Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of environmental experience leading ISO 14001 audits
- Knowledge of OSHA standards preferred
- Experience developing SOPs, training materials, or job aids preferred
- Experience delivering training in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- High-impact auditing role within a global manufacturing environment
- Strong visibility and influence across multiple facilities
