Job Description

Lead the design and development of transportation projects, including roadways and infrastructure for state agencies, municipalities, and tollway authorities. Apply advanced knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, Tollway, and municipal design standards, procedures, and specifications. Develop innovative, technically sound solutions that meet project requirements and comply with applicable codes and standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and efficient project delivery. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.

Prepare and review design documents, calculations, and reports for accuracy and compliance. Utilize design software tools effectively; experience with Micro Station CONNECT Edition and Open Roads Designer is preferred. Maintain proactive communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

• Minimum of 5 years of design experience within a consulting engineering environment

• In-depth knowledge of Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Illinois
