Job DescriptionThis hybrid (office and remote) role requires experience in regulatory engagement, site investigation, remediation, and project delivery. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and work independently while collaborating in a high-performance team.
In this role, you will support business development, technical delivery, stakeholder engagement, and financial management for the Chicago office.
Responsibilities- Overall project management and assistance in establishing project objectives and policies.
- Apply site investigation and remediation techniques to deliver solutions.
- Engage existing and potential clients to discuss AECOM services and expand service capabilities.
- Ensure project portfolio adherence to design, budget, and schedule.
- Provide technical oversight and quality control.
- Define project scope and objectives.
- Manage all project phases from initiation to close out.
- Predict resource needs and manage resources effectively.
- Make decisions and recognize risks with mitigation plans.
- Deliver consistent project updates to stakeholders.
- Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.
- Manage complex clients and projects and deliver profit margins as planned.
- BS in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field and 4+ years of experience.
- US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
- Background and MVR check required.
- 6+ years in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development.
- Licensed P.E. or Geologist in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas, Missouri, or Ohio.
- Experience with state regulatory agencies.
- Experience scheduling resources for on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Experience in business development.
- 40‑hour HAZWOPER certified (current) including 8‑hour Supervisor training.
- PMP certification.
- Regulator and stakeholder negotiation experience.
- Success managing environmental projects for diverse clients.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Superior writing, editing, and reporting skills.
- Preparation of proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
Compensation range: $125,000 – $135,000 per year, based on education, experience, and location.
