Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer
Overview
Provide engineering support to PBNA Supply Chain, by working on projects focused on capacity, new capability, process and packaging innovations, value engineering/productivity as well as strategic initiatives. The individual in this position will provide capital project management and/or project oversight for major CAPEX approvals and executions at PBNA manufacturing locations. This position works closely with Operations, Plant Maintenance, EHS, Quality, Global Procurement, Integration, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Network Strategy and external suppliers and engineering integrators.
The position is responsible for driving standardization, owning project scope/ budget/ schedule and serving as a technical liaison to PBNA plants.
- Familiarity with plant operations, packaging, processing, project management, as well as basic understanding of TPM and LSS processes.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with basics of finance and cost accounting. Able to effectively manage and track project spending and report financials on a regular basis.
- Able to estimate project budgets and timelines based on given scope.
- Solid knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/Layout drawings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to negotiate with vendors.
- Strong team-building skills required to manage and lead cross-functional teams at a corporate or plant location.
- Self-motivated, results and action oriented. Able to make independent and sound decisions.
- Computer skills to include experience with excel spreadsheet and word processing software, ability to utilize MS Project.
- Project Management/ PMP certification preferred
- Implement accountability and expectations with external engineering integrators
- Understand plant downtime systems and able to track project start up curves
- Work well with cross functional leadership teams to properly communicate projects scope and deliverables
Compensation and Benefits
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $89,000 - $149,000.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Food Processing, Civil or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of project engineering experience, with a focus on new equipment installation and start-up, high speed packaging and process experience and engineering project management.
- Solid knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/Layout drawings
- Solid knowledge and experience with estimating project scope budgets and timelines
- Solid understanding of manufacturing plant operations
- Able to travel; individual can expect to travel up to 30-50% of the time to facilitate and manage plant projects
- Individual CAPEX project expenditure experience preferred to be more than $500,000
