General Superintendent

We are looking for a talented General Superintendent to join our team at our office located near Chicago, Illinois
.

This role assumes primary responsibility for all field activities on assigned construction projects and oversight of all projects executed within an assigned construction program. Above all, it ensures the achievement of safety objectives on assigned projects.

• Assume oversight responsibility for all field activities on program construction projects.
• Lead field personnel to meet program and project goals.
• Assume primary responsibility for program and project safety and ensure achievement of safety objectives.
• Ensure achievement of corporate goals for assigned programs and projects.
• Ensure assigned projects meet applicable quality requirements.
• Manage client interactions at the site and promote positive relationships.
• Works with Program clients to identify new opportunities to provide additional services.
• Supports Regional and Program Project Directors in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other sales and marketing documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent technical degree.
• 20 years of experience in Project Delivery or a related discipline.

• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
• Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb ladders as necessary.

• Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying working conditions.
• Must be able to adhere to strict cleanroom gowning protocol.

• This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
• You may be assigned to a client site for an extended period.
• Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client's location is possible, depending on the assignment.

• You will visit construction sites and will be required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.
• Must have the ability to travel and commute on a daily or routine basis.
• Work schedule may require flexibility, including availability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts, as well as weekends.

• This position is a safety-sensitive position.
• The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
