Associate Sales Engineer – Midwest Applied Solutions

Midwest Applied Solutions is a fast‑moving HVAC rental company delivering commercial HVAC solutions across the U.S. From spot coolers to large‑scale chillers and cooling towers, our team responds with speed and precision for planned projects and 24/7 emergencies.

This entry‑level role is designed to learn all aspects of MAS products and systems while estimating and managing projects. The Associate Sales Engineer will coordinate submittals, select equipment, manage pricing and ship dates, and maintain customer satisfaction in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

• Read, understand, and interpret building plans and specifications
• Select equipment based on estimating and submittals
• Enter orders and manage order fulfillment
• Ensure projects stay on time and meet all deadlines
• Prepare financial reporting for managed projects
• Create and maintain job files throughout project duration
• Coordinate jobsite requirements
• Provide technical support for contractor customers
• Manage multiple project schedules simultaneously
• Maintain communication with customers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors
• Optimize projects through product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering, and redesigns
• Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers, and manufacturers
• Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet all system design, installation, and maintenance expectations
• Investigate concerns, implement corrective action, and communicate with customers and coworkers to maximize satisfaction

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or 1–2 years of experience in HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management, or contracting; or equivalent combination
• Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering, or construction industry is a plus
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, deal with ambiguity, and manage high‑volume projects
• Outstanding attention to detail, willingness to collaborate in a team setting, and excellent organizational skills are critical
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Work in an office environment and frequently in the field.

Regularly use hands to operate the computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms; frequently stand, walk, sit, and occasionally climb, balance, or stoop; regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
