We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to provide on‑site repair and maintenance support for our robots at customer locations. This role involves extensive regional travel with opportunities for nationwide travel, requiring approximately 75% US regional travel and up to 25% overnight stays.

Chicago, IL metro area.
Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site preventive maintenance for robots and charging stations.
- Troubleshoot and execute on‑site repairs, managing necessary equipment.
- Conduct testing and physical inspections to diagnose and validate repairs.
- Manage and nurture on‑site customer relationships, ensuring smooth robotic operations.
- Assist customers with non‑hardware‑related escalations on‑site.
- Analyze robot data to identify early signs of component degradation.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Complete service reports and manage support tickets in Salesforce.
- Provide additional remote technical support and Return Material Authorization (RMA) activities as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in a similar hands‑on technical role or demonstrable technical aptitude. Robot‑specific training will be provided.
- A valid US driver’s license.
- Proficient with mechanical hand tools and multimeters.
- Prior experience in electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, lift, walk, and reach as part of the job requirements.
- Strong work ethic and consistent attendance record.
- Adaptability to working in warehouses that may or may not be climate controlled.
- Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving skills in both independent and customer‑focused scenarios.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
