At Jacobs, we design state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities for data centers, delivering world‑class solutions with control systems. This position is responsible for designing, sizing, and specifying instrumentation and controls for a variety of processes, coordinating with architects, engineers, and designers, developing P&IDs, and ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. You will also support startup and site assistance, provide on‑site support during commissioning, and work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team.

• Design and optimize control systems for data center processes.
• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information.
• Coordinate work activities with team members and discipline leads, providing on‑site assistance during startup.
• Ensure technical quality and schedule adherence for engineering tasks.
• Engage in mentorship and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience working with instrumentation and control.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Documentation and modeling experience for control system design.

• Knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other control applications.
• Experience working with data centers.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Forward‑thinking, eagerness to learn best practices and contribute innovative ideas.
• Enthusiastic collaborator in multidisciplinary teams.

Any location in the United States; ideally near a Jacobs office. Base salary range: $69,500 – $95,500 per year, with final pay based on experience and location.
