Sr. Project Manager, Transportation/Traffic Engineering

We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager, Transportation/Traffic Engineering to join our Chicago, IL team.

• Conduct traffic studies and analyze traffic data to determine patterns and trends
• Develop transportation plans and design transportation systems that improve safety and mobility, including traffic signals, signal systems, ITS, signs and markings
• Develop traffic signal timing and programming plans
• Assist with the preparation of project budgets and schedules
• Manage individual projects, including schedule, budgets, project team members, and client coordination
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations
• Assist with project pursuits and business development
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
• Prepare reports, specifications, and designs for transportation projects
• Stay up to date with advances in transportation/traffic engineering and technology
• Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• 15 years of experience in traffic engineering
• 2 years of project management-type experience with transportation engineering projects
• Graduate degree in transportation engineering or similar area may be considered toward experience
• Illinois Driver's License

• Certifications/Licenses: PE, PTOE (preferred)
• Technical and/or report writing
• Experience with CDOT and IDOT District 1 Traffic Signal Design
• Federal and Illinois MUTCD
• Strong familiarity with ADA/PROWAG
• Experience with Micro Station, Vissim, HCS, Synchro

• Travel anticipated for 5% of the time
