What You’ll DoThe Sr. Process Engineer will provide process engineering support for multiple approved Innovation and renovation projects across Mars Snacking Health & Wellness Division, focusing on KIND and supporting Natures Bakery and trü frü Business Units as needed. The role supports initiatives around value leadership, sustainability, and manufacturing, and requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
How You’ll Do It- Provide support to Business Units and stakeholders across Innovation, Renovation, and Productivity projects.
- Think strategically and approach business initiatives with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Influence and facilitate diverse groups, bringing teams to consensus and alignment.
- Adapt to a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment with a positive outlook.
- Use industry best practices and trends to exercise prudent judgment.
- Plan and prioritize while multitasking and rapidly adapting.
- Guide engineering design concepts, specifications, and requirements.
- Develop and manage project scope.
- Understand manufacturing processes, identify cost/value opportunities, and recommend technology and automation.
- Collaborate with HSE, Food Safety, and Quality teams to ensure compliance with Mars safety and food standards.
- Execute communication processes to maintain stakeholder alignment.
- Strong sense of urgency and a can‑do attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Partnership and relationship‑based approach with internal and external partners.
- Willingness to challenge existing processes for maximized resources.
- Manage supplier relationships and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Network with global R&D community to share best practices.
- Strong technical equipment knowledge.
- Execute qualification and approval processes for new equipment and lines.
- Develop and execute trial plans, collect data, interpret results, and advance technical knowledge.
- Proven problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Support pipeline development and productivity projects involving process optimization.
- A BS or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5+ years of relevant launch experience.
- At least 5+ years of Process Engineering, development and manufacturing qualifications, start‑ups, and innovation projects.
- Strong foundational knowledge in food process technologies and equipment.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Marketing, Market Research, Legal/Regulatory, QA, and Manufacturing.
- The ability to travel 30%‑50% to support project work.
