A rapidly expanding full‑service structural engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer with deep experience in designing medium to large commercial and institutional buildings. With offices across Texas, Colorado, Illinois, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and India, this team is known for cutting‑edge structural, steel, and precast design, vibration consulting, and advanced technology. Nearly ninety percent of their work is in the booming data center sector, with major project volume in aviation, healthcare, logistics, and more.
What You Will Do
- Design and analyze building structures through calculations and computer modeling.
- Manage assigned design professionals, review work, and support senior engineers.
- Produce structural details, specifications, notes, and coordinated project documents.
- Conduct peer reviews, contribute to internal technical training, and improve processes.
- Participate in construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and performing site observations.
- Assist in creating project work plans, budgets, and staffing needs.
- Help lead internal and external design work sessions.
- Support team performance evaluations when requested.
- Attend client meetings and prepare summaries.
- Build networking relationships and attend industry events.
- Support proposal efforts and participate in project pursuit interviews.
- BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis, required; MS preferred.
- Six or more years of experience in building structural design, reduced with MS or SE license.
- PE license required; SE license or completion of NCEES SE exam preferred.
- Expertise with Bentley RAM or Tekla Structural Designer, Autodesk Revit, and BIM 360.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and experience with steel, concrete, PT concrete, masonry, and wood.
- Proven ability to collaborate, problem solve, communicate clearly, and mentor others.
