- Specialized capabilities in substation, renewables integration, HVDC/FACTS/STATCOM, datacenter integration, and BESS integration
- Lead or contribute to substation projects up to 765 kV in engineering detailed design and EPC.
- Develop protection and control design deliverables—protective relays, panel arrangements, single‑line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, relay panel wiring, and equipment wiring.
- Prepare physical design deliverables—yard layout, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, and auxiliary AC/DC power systems.
- Perform or oversee quality review of electrical substation design packages.
- Mentor junior team members and manage design budgets and schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders; present proposals and designs.
- Potential travel to client and vendor offices and project sites for design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification.
- Support business development or pursuit activities.
- Provide technical guidance on design guides, standards, systems, codes, and B&V policies.
- Apply B&V quality program to assigned tasks and ensure compliance.
- Prepare engineering deliverables, research equipment selection, manage data, and perform calculations.
- Independently manage budget, schedule, and quality for assigned tasks.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects.
- Assist with client interests and drivers on high‑voltage substation projects.
- Offer support to business development or pursuit activities.
- Mentor lower‑level professionals and identify successors.
- High‑voltage substation design experience (physical and/or protection & controls).
- Project lead and technical specialist experience overseeing utility substation clients and projects.
- QA/QC reviews.
- Experience coordinating and communicating with clients, multidisciplinary leads, and project managers.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years related work experience.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- All applicants must complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor‑vehicle records).
Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements in applicable U.S. states.
Work Environment / Physical DemandsHybrid or flexible work options offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion, performance, and assignments.
