The Chicago College of Performing Arts ( CCPA ) at Roosevelt is comprised of three Conservatories:
Music, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Theatre. Our faculty and staff maintain successful professional careers in their chosen fields alongside their commitment to training and educating our students in preparation to enter performing arts industries.
Position Summary:
The Theatre Conservatory seeks an adjunct instructor for the following course:
An introduction to the art of improvisational performance through foundation building and
This class meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10:45am (3 credit hours). Applications will be reviewed immediately with an expected start date for Fall 2025.
Please note that this course will be offered pending budget approval.
The salary for this position aligns with the current RAFO tiers of $3982 for this 3-credit hour course.

Required
Successful candidates will have experience in thematic, longform improv and the history of improv in Chicago in particular.
Years of Experience Required
Years of Experience Required 3-5 years teaching comedy improvisation. University teaching experience is a plus.
