Job Summary
The Associate Director of Mindworks will support its Director in supervising operations and team management, including overseeing Research Professionals and Research Assistants who carry out research operations at Mindworks, and providing supervision of the operations, systems, and facilities that support research to be conducted in the lab by RF‑CDR affiliated faculty, graduate students, and postdocs. The Associate Director will also design and manage programs and events to support RF‑CDR Lab and Center operations, engagement, and recruitment.
This position will have weekend duties, with a typical weekly schedule including four workweek days and one weekend day.
- Coordinates with the Labs Services Director in managing all procedures, tools, and operations for the research labs, and adjusting and refining these operations when required. Works with CDR management team during weekly meetings to revise and develop Lab policies and procedures to facilitate efficient and effective operations and recruitment of participants.
- Supervises Mindworks research operations, overseeing the full execution of all faculty, postdoc, and graduate student research projects. This includes all procedures and operations for the full lifecycle of studies carried out through the RF‑CDR Labs.
- Supervises Mindworks staff, including assisting with the design and delivery of research team training materials and training events, methods for providing feedback and encouraging professional development for Lab team members, and supporting search and hiring decisions for Lab staffing needs. Assists in designing and delivering training, retreat, and professional development events for the full RF‑CDR Labs team.
- Manages and delivers Mindworks and RF‑CDR-sponsored events and programs. Assists the Center and Mindworks Directors in designing, developing and staffing programs and events for the Center, such as internal and external lecture series, retreats and other events, as well as interactive educational research opportunities, events, and programs presented by Mindworks in support of research initiatives.
- Remains up‑to‑date with Institutional Review Board policy and ethical guidelines in human subjects research, as well as state‑of‑the‑art methods and tools in behavioral science research. Provides support to RF‑CDR researchers related to these guidelines and policies. Assists in delivering SBS‑IRB training requirements for Mindworks staff.
